Culture Night in the Botanical Garden and at the Geological Museum

Culture Night is the largest annual cultural event in Copenhagen. More than 250 museums, theatres, libraries, churches, ministries, parks and squares across the city welcome the public. This one night a year, you can experience the Botanical Garden’s magic after dark.

The Geological Museum
Sounds of the planets
The musical multiartist Thomas Agergaard creates evocative and improvised soundscapes in the historical halls of the Geological Museum based on the deep pulse of Earth and other planets produced by earthquakes, gravitational forces and solar winds and recorded by seismologists and NASA’s Voyager spacecrafts.

The Botanical Garden
Magic after dark
Follow the light paths through the garden and discover the luminous trees and evocative sound and light installations.

Luminous tales on the Victorian Palm House
A complete staging of the beautiful old Victorian palm house unites light, sound and nature. Experience the staging by taking a walk around the Palm House or view it from different spots in the garden.
