Impasse Hotel Syria – photographs by Krass Clement

Photo exhibition from May 3 to October 22, 2017.

Impasse Hotel Syria – photographs by Krass Clement

The special exhibition presents – almost entirely – black and white photographs taken by the Danish photographer, Krass Clement, during a journey to Syria in 2001.

Although the 16 years that have passed have transformed these images into historical documents, they simultaneously bear profound value as emotional and beautiful memories of the past.

The exhibition includes photos from Aleppo, Damascus, Palmyra, Deir Ez-Zur, and Homs.

On display are 58 photographs out of nearly 200 from the photo book “Impasse Hotel Syria”, published in 2016 by Gyldendal, with a grant from the C. L. David Foundation and Collection.
