Open Air in the King’s Garden

August 1st and 2nd. As usual the Cinematheque opens the August programme with free Open Air-screenings in the King’s Garden. Grab a friend by the hand, bring a blanket to sit on, and share an exhilarating film experience.

Tuesday August 1st you can experience David Lynch’s both fragile and brutal psycho-thriller ‘Blue Velvet’, starring Kyle MacLachlan from ‘Twin Peaks’ and a frightening Dennis Hopper.

Wednesday August 2nd get your dancing shoes ready and sing along to the Bee Gees’ overpowering soundtrack in ‘Saturday Night Fever’. John Travolta shines in this classic –in a beautifully restored new transfer, which so far only has been shown at the festival in Cannes!

Both days start out with chill music in the Garden from 4 pm, with DJ Laura Palmer on Tuesday and DJ Master Fatman on Wednesday. Before the main features, a Danish short film will be shown. The films will begin around 9:45 pm.

Restaurant SULT is offering chili con carne, sandwiches, wine and cold beer at a fair price.

Entrance is free and you don’t have to book a ticket – to join the party, all you need to do is show up!
