To celebrate the schools’ winter holidays we invite you to come in from the cold and explore visual treats from the Far East – we have plenty in store for families to enjoy.
New exhibition: Japanomania
What happens when Nordic and Japanese art come together? Throughout the winter holiday week you can view our major spring exhibition Japanomania in the North 1875–1918, which tells the story of how Japonisme found its way into Nordic art.
Dragons and manga style pictures
All week long we invite children and families to use our materials to make their own colourful dragon family and draw beautiful manga pictures – or what about some pink cherry blossoms in the Japanese style?
Our house artists will be happy to assist you and get your creative juices flowing.
Recommended for: Ages 3 and up.
Saturday 11 – Sunday 19 February 11.30 – 16.30 Price: DKK + One-day ticket
Last chance: Two Worlds as One
The winter holiday week is your last chance to see the exhibition Two Worlds as One. Here you and your family can delve into the hypnotic universe created by Pakistani artist Aisha Khalid.
The exhibition includes two huge, hanging carpets that demonstrate how there are two sides to everything in this world. You can also experience a series of paintings with hypnotising patterns that flicker before your eyes.
