Autumn holidays for kids

SMK has plenty of fun activities for children during the autumn holidays (15–23 October). Make art grow, let our guides take you on special tours, or explore SMK’s new exhibition for children and families. And join us as we get the holiday week off to a great start on Culture Night!

New exhibition for children and families

The exhibition Two Worlds as One allows children and families to delve into the hypnotic universe created by Pakistani artist Aisha Khalid. She conjures up a world of veiled women, fairy tale creatures and holes leading to other worlds.

Surrounded by patterns, embroideries made out of thousands of stitches, and plenty of prickly needles, children and their adults can explore a wealth of contrasts and opposing ideas – and what the world looks like when you spin around your own axis and grow dizzy. For older children and grown-ups, Khalid’s works can kick off conversations on issues such as language and identity.
