In the 100th anniversary of Ingmar Bergman’s birth, we show Margarethe von Trotta’s personal portrait of one of her rolemodels in the new investigative documentary ‘Searching for Ingmar Bergman’.
When Margarethe von Trotta first watched ‘The Seventh Seal’ in Cinémathèque Française in Paris, she knew she would be a film director. Bergman’s underlying allegory hit her with such precision that she decided that film would become her destiny.
In this personal portrait about Ingmar Bergman von Trotta returns to the island of Fårö, where the director recorded five films – including ‘Persona’ and the television series ‘Scenes from a marriage’ – and where he spent the final years of his life.
Experience the film from Oct 18th to 21st. Tickets: https://www.dfi.dk/cinemateket/biograf/filmserier/serie/manedens-dokumentar-i-oktober-searching-ingmar-bergman
