Get a unique experience with paintings by the 19th century’s most important Danish artists in a homely setting in this small beauty of a museum.
The Hirschsprung Collection is beautifully situated in the green parklands of the Østre Anlæg on the old ramparts of Copenhagen. The collection holds masterpieces from the Danish Golden Age, Symbolism and the Skagen painters – most notably by Eckersberg, Købke, Lundbye, Ring, Hammershøi, Krøyer and Ancher. The delicate interiors furnished with objects from the artists’ lives give the museum an intimate character and charm.
